Ingredients
- 1 thin layer of short pastry
- From 15 to 20 figs
- 240 gr of cottage cheese
- 200 ml of whipping cream
- 4 Eggs
- 150 gr of sugar
Steps:
- Turn on the oven and heat to 180ºC
- We spread butter on our mould and put the short pastry
- We peel the figs, cut them in half and put them on top of the short pastry until all the base is covered. We have to ensure all the figs are reaching around the same height.
- Next step is putting in a bowl the cottage cheese, the cream, the eggs and the sugar and whipping the mix.
- When everyting is well mixed we pour it in the mould and introduce it inside the oven, to which we will lower the temperature to 160ºC, until the mix gets curdled. It can take approximately 45-50 minutes.
- We remove the cake and let it cool. Once it’s colder, we put it into the fridge.
We can serve it with some honey if it is desired. Remember it’s made with eggs, so it has to be eaten in less than 3 days.
